Sachs Media Group engaged Integrated Insight to conduct a perceptions survey among residents of the United States relative to consumer perceptions and opinions about experiences versus possessions. There is some sentiment that today’s consumers place more value in what they do and with whom, versus what they own and where. Specific objectives included quantifying the sentiment for experiences versus possessions and the degree to which consumers favor one versus the other; determining how consumer opinion has changed over time; and understanding where/how consumer lives are being transformed with experiences.
