Aligning Capacity and Demand Across Several Mediums

The British Virgin Islands Tourism Board engaged Integrated Insight to assess current infrastructure and assess needs to position the island for tourism growth. To meet the objectives, Integrated Insight prepared an assessment of current infrastructure by component and its ability to accommodate current demand - what is working well and where do gaps exist; prepared a forecast of capacity requirements by component to meet stated tourism goals over the next decade; and prioritized capacity requirements into short-term, mid-term, and long-term requirements to align with projected demand by segment. Included were hotel and conference facilities; cruise ports and docks; airport and flight capacity; land and sea transportation; entertainment and activities including beaches, historic and cultural venues, and other activities; and dining and shopping.

Conducting Satisfaction Research Among Passengers and Crew

The World Residences at Sea is a unique cruise ownership model. Integrated Insight conducted both the annual Owner Survey and annual Crew Survey for The World management team. The surveys are mechanisms to measure how well the staff and crew are meeting the needs of the owners, and to inform future investment decisions as it pertains to ship venues (restaurants, spa, lounges, public spaces) as well as services provided (activities onboard, port excursions, stateroom service, etc.).

Celebrity Cruises

Surveying Cruisers and Travel Agents to Identify Brand Strengths and Opportunities

A segmentation study conducted among past and future cruisers, and a brand perception study among travel agents, allowed Integrated Insight to identify perceived strengths and opportunities of the Celebrity brand, and where the brand is positioned relative to Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Holland America. The research also identified the extent to which Celebrity cruisers were brand loyalists versus cruise loyalists, and became a catalyst to inform positioning of older versus newer Celebrity ships. Among travel agents, Integrated Insight uncovered insights around brand perceptions and what initiatives would incent more bookings.
